The development of creative and critical thinking skills is yet another crucial component to success. As children get older their ability to deeply analyze concepts and effectively articulate complex issues in creative ways should continue to advance. These skills are essential in developing intellectual curiosity and using your child's mind to his/her fullest potential.

Give these activities a try.

1) Are you more like a square or a circle? Why?

2) If people could not see colors, how would traffic lights work? Design a traffic system that does not rely on colors.

3) If you could invent a new subject that would be taught to all children in school, what would the subject be? Why do you think children need to learn about your subject?
